What a fantastic song. Punjabi sufism is so sofisticated. We punjabis do not understand what a great piece of art this is. I am so proud to be a punjabi!

    Dear Mr Mughal

Spare Mr Kiyani as the website says [download this song] Maybe you should look at his intention and not the wording

@ Kiyani: yes, traditional folk poetry / sufiana kalam is always impresing… Aur punjabi di taaN wakhri hi gal ae…

@ Mughal & Bains: Well, this website contains both sufi poetry and folk poetry. and a song is “a brief composition written or adapted for singing.” its traditional to this land that we call sufi poetry as kalam[translated to song?]. And when it is sung, it is song. And besides, song is not a bad word at all.

nice to see this website and even nicer to see interest of people in its content. just one comment, when talking about sufis, lets keep their message in mind. that is love, for Allah and His creation. Direct outcome of this message is a power to accomodate difference of opinion and also a broader mind.

each verse is so simple yet so complicated surely only a true Sufi would be able to delve into the deepest ocean of love only to emerge with such beautiful verses each of which is an ocean itself listening to only one verse and truly understanding it is enough to leave any human lost in true spirituality

sohail sahib aap ka bohot bohot shukriya

    Salam Janab Sohail sahab,
Maray father Chishtia silsilay k Khalifa hain.Darbar-e-chishtia Karachi un kii rihaish hai.Woh bohat beemaar hain . Itnay beemaar k baat nahin kar saktay. lakin sirf Mian sahab ka yeh kalam shokat ali ki awaz main play karwa kar sunatay hain.Itna dard hai is kalam main k sunnay k baad kae dinn taq kissi say baaat karnay ko g nahin chata , is dar say k kahin is duniya ki ghinoni baton say man ka maza kharab na ho jaye, yeh kalam-e-haqeeqi hai. jissay samajhna har kissi ki bus ki baat nahin,is ko woh hi samajh sakta hai jiss ko “WOH” apni roshni ata. App nay is ko ham taq pohncha kar jo kaam kia hai us ka ajar inshallah aap ko itna Aala tareeqay say milay ga k duniya daikhay ge . Allah aap ko sada salamat rakhay . Ta k haqeeqy kalam aur ziada taize say pahilay .
    Amin
