The poet for this piece is most probably Khawaja Ghulam Farid as indicated within the lyrics as well.

umara lageya pabha bhar is my favourite since childhood even when i was not aware of the meanings of its lyrics, it has the Greatest Lyrics, Melody and voice. Asad Amanat Ali Khan has sang it in such great style that i can never find appropriate words to appriciate it.
